is about gone now. i am excited about the fact that i went to the movies twice this past month [that's usually about the frequency i go in a year]. we saw indiana jones last week and wall-e this past weekend.

i am still fighting with the computer, then i will find pics to post up here....

what have you been up to lately?

all kinds of stuff really. little of this, little of that. the birthday last weekend was nice. we had a nice dinner, saw a few friends, and still had time for a trip to the beach. not bad. except the girl went to water country!

yesterday, i read this book, which stirred up all kinds of ethical issues in research. today, i am moving away from public sex, and onto the political history of criminal justice. not that the topic is any lighter.

this week [and next], the girl is participating in 'junior university' where she goes to school each day for a summer program, and gets to learn new and cool stuff. this means for me, however, that i walk to the middle school twice a day. and you know i love the walks [until it gets too hot, but at 8 AM it is nice]. snapped this pic this morning with the phone. it looked better in real life.
