from this weekend. mandy was here. kate's birthday [i hope they all had fun]. school starts tomorrow. look what just came out. i'll be buying it today.

a girl at work has been trying to capture this kitten all week. she's real sweet, just wild and afraid of people. but i will say she has been eating well as of late.

this was a project that began years ago with clipping words and phrases from magazines. tons of magazines that my mom had lying around. it has been completed, really, for years. it was not until i just moved did i finally frame it. and this piece of artwork does a have a name [hover].

toil and trouble

i got off work early yesterday and we went to the beach (on a thursday!). had dinner, cleaned some throw up,* and watched a movie. today, we are going to register little missy in her new school and hit the grocery store for something for dinner. i found a chicken recipe that uses doritos. i'm thinking it might work for the kid.



* we both have summer colds. nothing but sneezing and sniffling around here. but for some reason, she had a fever last night and threw up. sh'e fine today.

went to the beach today

i am perty red. now, i admit i am quite brown, so i know that those two girls i was with today must be feeling it. came home, went for a walk, cleaned sabrina's room.

the seminar was a hit. everything went smoothly and great. hopefully we can make a difference. there's my boss and the view from the town point club (where we were).



sabrina had a fantastic time today on her trip. i recall hearing the words "the best day ever" a few times.

it's out of control and needs a bigger pot

this one started out as a tiny clipping from a houseplant [don't remember it's name.] just for the fun of it, i put it outside to see how it would do. i didn't care much if it died since i had a ton of it inside. now i am worried i won't be able to take it out if it's tight little home.

i am so excited. kerri is bringing the kids to see us tomorrow! [long story, but she'll be in town with them briefly.]

tomorrow is a busy day. regarding work, our seminar is tomorrow. we are hosting 84 [today's count] people to listen, learn, and discuss housing first initiatives. it's a big deal.

sabrina is going on a special field trip with the boys and girls club tomorrow [not everyone was asked to go]. she is going to elizabeth city!

and then the kids. wow.

the weekend was uneventful
